Overlooking the Megalong Valley and Narrow Neck plateau, this adventure involves descending a large cliff line (approx. 200 metres) of the upper Blue Mountains in a series of stages or ‘pitches’. This five pitch expedition boasts some exciting abseiling as you straddle and then descend into the massive chasm that forms the second and third pitches. When you reach the last ledge - still a long way above the valley floor - you will traverse on a narrow ledge around the base of the Boars Head Buttress before climbing the classic climb "Old Shandy". In two pitches and with extreme exposure to heights make sure you ready yourself. After this we follow a skyline traverse on narrow ledges and interesting rock features back to the cars. An awesome experience.
*AGE RESTRICTIONS: Minimum age is 14 years old due to the extreme nature of the vertical environment in which this adventure takes place.

We believe our abseiling and rock climbing adventures are heaps of fun, but what goes down must come up! It’s important to us that you have the fitness and skills to enjoy your adventure. Our moderate rope-based adventures are for those with high level of fitness and flexibility. While abseiling down the cliff is not particularly physically demanding, once participants reach the bottom they will be climbing back to the top. Abseiling and climbing experience is necessary. You will also need to be comfortable with the exposure that comes from being high above the valley floor. We don’t cut corners on safety. Over and above our well-stocked and maintained first aid kits, we also carry extra safety gear such as bivvy bags and emergency sleeping bags; and our roping practices are designed to ensure the best outcome should a rescue or assist be required. You can be confident our guides are working hard to keep you safe.
Our adventures are all inclusive. All adventures include licenses, equipment, professional guides and everything else you need for an action packed adventure. All you have to bring is suitable clothing, comfortable enclosed footwear, a water bottle and a camera to capture the day. And if you don’t have any of the necessary clothing we’ll happily provide you with the basics at no additional cost.
